It is so wonderful to be able to travel to England and meet our suppliers. We've been going to the Spring Gift Fair in Birmingham, England consistently for several years and have had the opportunity to meet Charlie Byrd, owner, producer, creator of Cotswold Lavender. Our trips to the Fair are in February and touring around the UK is not at it's best that time of year. The days are short and we've been in some crazy snow storms. But this year I was there in April and May so had the chance to actually stop by the farm and have a real visit. We were welcomed by Charlie, his 2 daughters and their dog. We were graciously invited into their home for cream tea. His wife, Claire joined us and after enjoyable conversation and tea we took a short tour of their facilities and farm. I long to be there in July when the lavender is at it's finest, the cafe and shop are open and the fields are teaming with visitors. Though I will always cherish my visit in chilly April and the warm country welcome.
Cotswold Lavender products are sold at Brits and can also be found on our website: Brits-Cotswold-Lavender
